Verizon iPhone 4G, new iPhone, and iPhone 4G release date

Verizon iPhone 4G, new iPhone, and iPhone 4G release date

Although a Verizon iPhone is wanted by a lot of people, it’s disappointing to know that Apple may not be launching a Verizon iPhone this year. I’m saying this because of the iPhone 4G prototype hardware with iPhone OS 4.0 you see on the top. It has the newer micro-sim slot which means it doesn’t work on Verizon. The CEO of Verizon expressed interest in having the iPhone on their network, so right now the ball is in Apple’s court. If all goes well, Verizon should at least have an iPhone 4G in 2011. Keep your fingers crossed though, analysts report that a Verizon iPhone this year is still possible.

In the world of Apple, a lot of new products are kept under cover and away from press until they’re released. Well, this does not apply to the iPhone 4G prototype though as that was leaked because an Apple employee at a bar was drunk and someone stole it. Other than that no one knows anything until June, the month when Apple actually releases the new hardware. We do know for sure that the iPhone 4G release date is some time in June, since that is the month the annual Worldwide Developers conference (WWDC) is held.
